Quality sustainable timber
Street Furniture Australia only uses sustainably-sourced eco-certified hardwood from certified FSC and PEFC suppliers.
We use select-grade hardwood from species that have undergone rigorous inhouse testing for strength, durability and workability. As a natural material, timber battens feature variations in colour and grain, and require ongoing maintenance – enquire about our timber fact sheet.
Long term maintenance
Timber battens require oiling every three months to maintain colour, integrity and extend the life of the product. See our general maintenance guide.
If low maintenance is a requirement, consider specifying from the original Linea collection with Wood Without Worry aluminium woodgrain battens, or select from our extensive powder coat colour chart.

It is one of the most rigorous carbon-neutral programs in the world. An approved Emissions Reduction Strategy (ERS) is central to achieving certification through Climate Active. Street Furniture Australia has elected to use SBTi validated science-based targets to ensure their ERS is meaningful and aligns with the 2015 Paris Agreement – to limit global temperature rises to 1.5℃ above pre-industrial levels. For those emissions that can’t be …
