$10K Opportunity for Emerging Urban Landscape Researchers

Are you an early to mid career professional looking to undertake a research project? The LFA is offering $10,000 to an individual who wishes to develop expertise or knowledge on protecting, restoring and sustainably managing urban landscapes and natural environments in Australian cities and towns.

The year long project must align with the LFA’s focus on protecting, restoring, creating and sustainably managing urban landscapes as vital green infrastructure.

Through the Fellowship, the Landscape Foundation of Australia seeks to support innovation and new perspectives on creating healthy and resilient urban landscapes.

Applicants from the following broad range of disciplines are encouraged to apply.

  • landscape planning, design and sustainable management 
  • urban green infrastructure 
  • environmental engineering 
  • natural asset management  
  • urban environmental sciences, including ecology, soil science, ecosystems restoration  
  • biodiversity restoration and sustainable management 
  • social sciences, such as planning and engagement with community to improve health and wellbeing of people and their resilience and relationships to nature. 

Innovative proposals from other fields are also encouraged, provided they align with the LFA’s purpose.
