Street Furniture Australia appoints David Morrison to drive next phase of growth

Press Release 23.04.2026
Street Furniture Australia (SFA) has appointed former MYOB General Manager David Morrison as Managing Director, bringing a tech-sector perspective to the design-led manufacturer as it enters its next phase of growth.
The appointment signals a sharper focus on disciplined growth, stronger customer systems and operational scale.
Morrison brings more than 20 years’ experience across global technology companies and high-growth startups. He was part of the senior leadership team at HR platform Flare, helping scale the business from 2,500 to more than 100,000 users before its acquisition by MYOB in 2022, where he later served on the senior leadership team.
A board member since 2022 and the son of co-founder and architect Bill Morrison, his appointment combines generational continuity with a new growth mandate.
David Morrison said:
“Street Furniture Australia has built something rare, a business defined by care, craft and durability. The opportunity now is to build on that foundation by strengthening systems, expanding our reach, and continuing to deliver products that stand the test of time.”
SFA is a Western Sydney–based manufacturer and exporter, known for design-led public infrastructure built for long-term use. The company has delivered more than 30,000 projects globally, from the Sydney Fish Markets and The Greenway to Google’s campus in Washington State and the University of Texas.
Morrison joins an established leadership team and more than 80 staff, with one in five employees having been with the company for over a decade, including Director of Strategy and Innovation June Lee Boxsell.
June Lee Boxsell said:
“David brings a technology lens at a time when strong systems underpin every high-performing business. We’ve built Street Furniture Australia through deep investment in design and manufacturing. Combining that with David’s experience scaling high growth companies positions us strongly for the next chapter.”
Morrison’s appointment reflects a broader shift as SFA combines a systems-led approach with its established culture of craftsmanship, positioning the company for continued growth in Australia and key international markets as the importance of the physical public realm continues to grow.
