Webinar: Data-driven Climate Action with Street Furniture Australia

How can climate action be meaningfully embedded into the design and specification of public space assets?

Street Furniture Australia shares insights from a five-year journey to achieving Climate Active certification across all products and operations – grounded in a verified, science-based Emissions Reduction Strategy.

A behind-the-scenes case study on the design of a public seat illustrates how data, engineering and long-term thinking inform more sustainable design outcomes. The presentation will also challenge common assumptions about sustainable materials.

Landscape architects will leave with actionable tips for specifying products that both perform in the public realm and align with environmental goals.

Learning objectives:
– Gain practical tips for specifying sustainable street furniture.
– Learn to evaluate materials based on whole-of-life environmental impacts.
– Understand the long-term environmental benefits of durable and serviceable public space assets.

This session is ideal for landscape architects, place managers and those involved in designing and furnishing public spaces.

This is an endorsed CPD activity for AILA members. This activity has been reviewed by AILA’s CPD Committee and is accredited with formal CPD points. Participants may self record as a CPD activity for 2 formal CPD points.

The webinar is open to AILA Members and will be held on Monday 30 June from 12pm – 1pm AEST (Bris/Syd/Melb time). The session will be recorded and emailed to registrants 48 hours after the event.
