Senior Industrial Designer Shreyas Rane with a design thinking journey map.
Design Thinking:
Street Furniture Australia is undergoing a design thinking program with Indelibility and Blue Sky Creative. This is a transformational project that aims to align all aspects of a business with a set of core values and purpose.
It’s human-centric – design thinking will put our customers at the centre of everything we do, which will take effect in 2017.
Companies like Apple and Airbnb have been applying design thinking principles to not only create truly innovative products and services but change the way they operate across the board.
We’re looking forward to keeping you posted about exciting new things to come.
New Government Contracts:
Street Furniture Australia is pleased to have won two new major government contracts:
- MAV Procurement (Victoria and Tasmania)
- LocalBuy (Queensland and South Australia)
You can find a list of contracts here. We are looking forward to working with our Council customers in 2017.
New Year, New Faces:
We welcome three new members of the Street Furniture Australia team.
Josine Denning comes to us as Business Development Manager for NSW, continuing an exciting career working with specifiers in the commercial furniture and flooring industry for more than 15 years.
Starting out on the factory floor where he built and assembled Street Furniture Australia products for more than two years, Kieran Bennett now brings his detailed knowledge to the New South Wales sales team.
Shreyasi Mukerji is our new Industrial Design Engineer. She has a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University in the US, and is already uncovering interesting findings about the properties of battens.
