SFA Recommits to AILA Partnership

At the 2018 International Festival of Landscape Architecture.

Street Furniture Australia has confirmed its ongoing six year partnership with the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA), signing on for a further two years.

The company has been a national sponsor and supporting corporate partner since 2014.

“AILA is proud to continue this relationship with our longer-term partner, Street Furniture Australia,” says Tim Arnold, AILA CEO.

“Street Furniture Australia has been committed to research, innovation and supporting the landscape architecture profession.

“We’ve previously joined forces on things like #BackyardExperiment and Future Street; more recently they lead a research project, Woden Experiment at the Woden Town Square in Canberra. I’m excited to see what the partnership will bring into the future.”

Street Furniture Australia will be a sponsor of the 2019 International Festival of Landscape Architecture: The Square and the Park later this year at Deakin Edge in Melbourne, as well as different AILA events and activities.

120 landscape architects gather at the annual Jazz at The Mint

The Street Furniture Australia factory, in Regents Park, Western Sydney, is both a manufacturing hub and R&D studio for our Australian-designed and made street furniture products. #WodenExperiment Discovery Report Out Now

Get full access to the Discovery Report. #WodenExperiment is a six-month furniture installation to activate Woden Town Square in Canberra. The aim is to bring more life and joy to this public space for its community. The project is lead by Street Furniture Australia in partnership with the ACT Government. Sydney Recharges at Future Street

Driverless shuttles, park benches that charge your phone and bins that send alerts when they’re full – the Future Street showed smart cities are within our grasp today. The Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA), Internet of Things Alliance Australia (IOTAA) and Smart Cities Council Australia New Zealand (SCCANZ) built the street of the future at Circular Quay on Alfred Street, in front of Customs House in October 2017.
