Street Furniture Australia’s entire product range and manufacturing operation has received carbon neutral certification through Climate Active™. Achieving carbon neutral certification marks a significant milestone in our operation and the culmination of a four year long process of detailed measurement and analysis. Climate Active™ is the only Australian government-backed carbon neutral certification programme for businesses to measure, reduce, and offsets their carbon emissions. It is one of the most rigorous carbon-neutral programs in the world. An approved Emissions Reduction Strategy (ERS) is central to achieving certification through Climate Active. My Park Rules finalists

Close to 100 pleas for new parks have flooded in for the My Park Rules competition, with eight state and territory finalists teaming up with leading landscape architects to pitch for the coveted playground makeover. AILA parties in Adelaide

AILA South Australia, the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) and New Architects Group (NAG) packed out The Gallery in Adelaide with 180 landscape architects, designers, architects, students and industry professionals to celebrate the holiday season and new year. Two new Forum seats, a cross between a backyard and street furniture bench, and a Cafe Round table, all powder coated in brilliant Bistro Orange, took centre stage for Street Furniture Australia’s selfie contest. Entries featured a surprising number of matching orange accessories, selfies within selfies, and having a good time kicking up the heels, including:   Erica Vidinis from Campbelltown City Council is our winner – congratulations, Erica! AILA Fellows’ Festival Lunch

The Festival of Landscape Architecture: This Public Life brought together thinkers and practitioners in Melbourne to interrogate challenges of climate, culture, design and environment for landscape architects. The Australian Institute of Landscape Architecture (AILA) invited Street Furniture Australia to host an inaugural AILA Fellows’ Lunch. An opportunity to reconnect and welcome new Fellows, the event included the rising stars of landscape architecture, state representatives of AILA Fresh. Held at Federation Square’s ZINC overlooking the Yarra River, an informal Q&A was held through the clatter of enthusiastic diners.
