Chatswood Private Hospital underwent a $10 million fitout in 2016, part of the Thirty8 Albert Avenue tower development including serviced apartments and retail. The project is designed by architects PTW for developer Wu International. Probuild delivered the construction, installing Escola Slim Benches, with eco-certified hardwood battens. Children from Marrickville Public School in Sydney are enjoying their new $100,000 My Park Rules makeover, taking a hot asphalt yard to an engaging play space designed by Tract Consultants. Street Furniture Australia proudly contributed Escola Platforms, Benches and Slim Benches, with eco-certified Jarrah battens and powder coated frames in bright Sensation Orange. The My Park Rules competition, run by 202020 Vision and AILA, searched nationwide in 2016 for the most creative pitches to green local play spaces. Petersham Public School has created a Sustainable Outdoor Learning Area to provide students and teachers with open-air classrooms and opportunities to connect with the environment. The project was driven by the school and P&C towards a vision of sustainable and environmental stewardship, and complements outdoor learning activities already in place such as a chicken coop, herb and vegetable garden cared for by students. There are four new outdoor areas: a Garden Classroom, Library Lawn, The Link and Secret Native Garden, which Principal Hugh Miller says together will enhance the school’s teaching and learning programs. “It enables us to link and embed a range of curriculum areas: English, Maths, Science and Technology, Geography, History, PDHPE and Creative Arts,” he says. “All of those disciplines can come together in new, interesting, and …
