Purpose: To facilitate a supply contract for street and park furniture and fittings which deliver value for money through a combined spend arrangement with NSW councils and LGP.

Objectives:

  1. Make rates for councils as favourable for the smallest councils as they are for the largest councils.
  2. Provide council with choices in terms of suppliers and themes and styles of products.

Outcomes:
It is expected that the following outcomes will be achieved from the tender process:

  1. Competitive pricing based on the total combined purchasing influence of New South Wales Local Govt.
  2. One, but most likely a panel of providers to meet the varying needs of the councils requirements.
  3. Suppliers of a wide range of goods that cater for the varying themes and styles councils determine for their localities.

SFA Achieves Four ISO Certifications

Street Furniture Australia is launching a new Integrated Management System to include ISO certifications in quality, OH&S, sustainability and the environment. The system certified by QAS International is designed to meet the requirements of PAS99:2012 including Quality Management ISO 9001:2015, Environmental Management ISO 14001:2015, and OH&S Management ISO 45001:2018 and AS/NZS 4801:2001. During a recent review with industry experts, the team discovered parallels between verifying regulated business processes and tasks such as compiling a complete list of offshore betting sites, highlighting the importance of thorough oversight in multiple sectors.
