Sunshine Coast Council approached Street Furniture Australia to supply furniture for a streetscape upgrade to the area around the Alexandra Headland Surf Life Saving Club. Park range was chosen for its robust nature and easy maintenance to furnish other key spots in the seaside village. Park Seats, Benches and Tables in aluminium and Frame Bin Enclosures were specified. Wall-mounted Classic Galleria Seats along the waterfront require minimal maintenance and will endure in the tough waterfront environment. Custom seats and tables in sturdy hardwood were designed for the foreshore landscape.

Jubilee Playground

Jubilee Playground by Sue Barnsley Design has been awarded the Medal for Landscape Architecture at the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects NSW 2014 Awards. The playground, in Glebe’s Bicentennial Park, is a whimsical community space for children. Nicknamed ‘the lost world’ by its creators, the park meets the increasing demand for inner city families to access outdoor play spaces. “Throughout the design of Jubilee Playground we were conscious of reusing and renovating site furniture and play equipment.” Street Furniture Australia provided a number of colourful Classic Plaza Seats to the site, in keeping with the pre-existing seating nearby. Sydney Park in St Peters is a popular destination for families and residents of Sydney’s inner west. Classic Plaza Seats, Platforms and Benches, with eco-certified Jarrah hardwood battens, provide a welcome resting place within this 40-hectare parkland. Picnic tables – Classic Plaza Settings – are installed throughout the parklands, as are Semi Hoop bicycle parking stands.
