Concourse Seats and Arqua Fountains were purchased and installed as part of the recent upgrade to Newtown Railway Station in inner-west Sydney. The seats have been configured to the specified RailCorp standard – four panel seats, powdercoated in precious silver, with post legs, triangle arms and a unique 7-degree tilt for accessibility.
Bovis Lend Lease chose Street Furniture Australia (SFA) for their major refurbishment project of the Parramatta Transport Interchange. In order to satisfy stringent product requirements, SFA prepared special designs and manufactured a range of product samples. The final seat design, the all-cast aluminium Concourse Seat (CML105), is an integral part of the station’s upgrade.
The Mall DDA Seat, Concourse 4-seater and Aero Leaning Rail have been chosen to furnish numerous train stations across NSW. As part of a $33 million upgrade announced by then NSW Minister for Transport Gladys Berejiklian in July 2014, new lighting, landscaping, paintwork and public furniture will be installed to improve Sydney’s stations. The latest in 3D printing technology was used to create full-scale prototypes for visualisation.
