Wainwright Park
Penrith City Council has delivered a playful landmark at Wainwright Park in Kingswood, NSW, to support community events, improve the comfort and image of the parkland, and complement Streets as Shared Spaces on Bringelly Road. The Streets as Shared Spaces program, funded by the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, tests a place-based approach to strengthen amenity, accessibility and economic vitality of high streets and surrounds. Council specified ChillOUT Trees, and collaborated with Street Furniture Australia’s industrial designers on custom seating that curves like a ribbon through the parkland.
