City of Sydney selected the Classic Plaza Seat with Jarrah battens and Night Sky frames to help furnish the magnificently restored Paddington Reservoir Gardens.

The Paddington Reservoir Gardens was opened by Lord Mayor Clover Moore on March 29 2009. Since then it has won the Australian Award for Urban Design, which highlights design excellence and innovation in the built environment and acknowledges the critical role of good urban design in the development of our cities and towns.

The Classic Plaza Seat with its timeless aesthetic and robust steel frame is a popular choice for heritage listed areas.

St. Kilda Botanical Gardens

Street Furniture Australia was chosen to construct the custom furniture for the redevelopment of the St Kilda botanical gardens. OCULUS Landscape Architects were the designers of the project and they choose Street Furniture to Manufacture jarrah oak tables with chessboards constructed into the tables. Significant works took place in 2003 with the demolition of the old works depot and the implementation of the North-West Corner Framework Master Plan. The designs included giant chess board and tables with individual chess boards inserted into each table which was provided by Street Furniture Australia. Custom furniture designed by Oculus. Mary O’Brien Reserve received an upgrade from the City of Sydney, offering residents of Zetland and neighbouring suburbs a multi-purpose space to enjoy. Accessible Classic Plaza DDA Settings are included in the new design. Classic Plaza Seats surround two new playgrounds, for parents to relax while their children play.
