St Ives Showground

Ku-ring-gai Council commissioned tailored Frame Bin Enclosures for the St Ives Showground featuring a special laser cut horse design, to honour the equestrian community who have used the site as far back as the 1920s. “Show and horse events were held regularly from 1926 until the Second World War, when it was occupied by the Australian Defence Forces,” says Nick Zajko, Landscape Architect with Ku-ring-gai Council. “The Princess Anne Equestrian Arena in the Showgrounds is used today as an equestrian facility for training and competition days with show-jumping, sporting, dressage and horsemanship events. “The site holds the annual Northern Suburbs Agricultural and Horticultural Society Show, which commenced in 1975.
